Joshua E. Ewell, 25, is charged with receiving stolen property, fleeing arrest, reckless endangerment, and related counts, said township police.
Around 8:45 p.m., officers spotted Ewell in a grey Kia Soul that had been reported stolen out of Easton, authorities said. He fled when they tried to pull him over, leading police on a chase through the township's Old Orchard section, according to officials.
Police said Ewell crashed into a street light and nearly struck a police car before authorities deployed stop sticks and deflated his tires.
He then drove through residential front yards before abandoning the car in the parking lot of a Freemansburg Avenue business, authorities said.
Ewell fled on foot but was later identified and arrested on Monday morning, Palmer police said.
He's being held on $35,000 bail and has a court hearing on May 24.
